A new IMAX poster for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore showcases the movie's Hogwarts setting. The upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie is the eleventh film in the Wizarding World franchise, which began back with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. It's the third installment in the prequel series that launched in 2016 with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. David Yates returns to direct again while previous Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves has been brought on to punch up J.K. Rowling's script.
Set several years after the events of The Crimes of Grindelwald, the third film follows magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and his allies as they are tasked by Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) with a dangerous mission that will lead to an epic clash with dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) and his ever-growing army. Production of the third Fantastic Beasts movie has been plagued with several setbacks - from delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic to the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard controversy that led to him being ousted from his role as Grindelwald. Rowling's repeated comments on transgender issues have also cast a dark shadow over the film. Nevertheless, The Secrets of Dumbledore is carrying on its promotional campaign with fingers crossed.

Now, The Secrets of Dumbledore has received an all-new IMAX poster highlighting the movie's Hogwarts setting. Just like the Secrets of Dumbledore trailer, this new IMAX poster highlights how Hogwarts will be a major location and vital to the story for the first time in the Fantastic Beasts series. As indicated by the title, the movie focuses on Hogwarts' future headmaster, who is currently the school's professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts. Fans will also notice Dumbledore's flaming phoenix, Fawkes, is present on the poster.
Potterheads are surely excited that Hogwarts will be featured more prominently in The Secrets of Dumbledore. However, the Fantastic Beasts films have faced criticism in the past for relying too heavily on the iconography of the Harry Potter movies rather than offering their own equally compelling story and characters, and this IMAX poster certainly won't help their case. Along with highlighting the movie's setting, the poster also acts as a reminder that the magic of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, and most franchise films for that matter, is best experienced on the biggest screen possible.
