ROE Visual LEDs look forward to the return of live events

With live events coming back, ROE Visual has several new LED-based products due to be unveiled at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt. Designed for outdoor touring, Black Quartz panels are now available in a 3.9mm pixel pitch. The Black Quartz LED panels have an incorporated folding bracing truss. Once mounted, the panels are wind-load resistant and can reportedly be used in up to 20m/sec wind speeds. Using Black LEDs provides the panels with a high contrast ratio and wide colour gamut. High-performance processing cards also include functionalities such as natural true colour, low latency, module calibration, edge correction, HDR10 and high grey scales on low brightness.

Used for live and hybrid events, broadcast and XR stages, ROE’s Black Marble LED floor has been in high demand, leading to the creation of the Black Marble BM2 – a 2.8mm pixel pitch variant with a matte, non-reflective finish.

At the top end of the manufacturer’s product portfolio in terms of visual quality is the Ruby Series, for which new RB1.5 and RB1.9b variants have just been introduced, offering visual performance in a fine pixel pitch. Sporting advanced driver ICs and LEDs with a large colour space, Ruby panels are fully HDR adaptive.

RB1.5 has a 1.5mm pixel pitch and offers 800nits brightness, while the 1.9b is 1.95mm pxel pitch outputting 1,500nits. Common cathode technology significantly reduces the panel temperature, resulting in more efficient heat-dissipation, reduced colour differences, higher brightness and reduced power consumption by 20–25%.

Finally, the company has unveiled the Opal LED platform for its fixed install range, intended to allow for more creative deployments without the need for customized products. Opal can be used indoor or outdoor, uses adaptable 300x300mm LED modules and has various frame dimensions. Sustainable common cathode technology and 4in1 LED guarantee supreme visual display. All LED displays in the stand are powered by the HELIOS LED processing platform, while the content for the whole stand runs from a media server from disguise.
