There are plenty of great Prime Day TV deals around, but this offer on the Samsung QN90A is right up there with the best of them.
The 50in model, which scooped a five-star rating and Recommended award when we reviewed it last year, is down to an all-time low price of £589.
That's a superb price for a TV that cost £999 when we tested it and features a Mini LED panel with 448 independently dimmable zones.
Those zones, combined with a highly effective local dimming algorithm, peak brightness of 750cd/m² and DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage of 94% result in outstanding HDR performance characterised by an astonishing level of detail, deep blacks and bloom-free highlights.
But the QN90A has other strings to its bow aside from picture quality. Samsung's Tizen OS smart platform is comprehensive and provides access to pretty much every streaming service you could wish for, while a single HDMI 2.1 port ensures gamers can take advantage of next-gen features like 4K@120Hz, Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode.
Latency in the latter mode is less than 10ms, which is barely noticeable, and there are plenty of ways to customise your gaming experience via Samsung's Game Bar - a new addition in 2021. Another big plus for gamers is that the QN90A's Quantum Dot LED panel is free from the risk of burn-in attached to OLED sets.
Unlike many of the deals we've seen since Prime Day kicked-off at midnight on Monday, you can take advantage of this offer without being a Prime member and it may still be available when the event finishes at midnight on Wednesday. We can't guarantee that'll be the case though, so it's worth acting now to avoid missing out.
