Earlier today, RedMagic introduced the 7S series, all facilitated by the new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. However, the company also presented a gaming monitor, simply named the RedMagic Gaming Monitor. Available in September, RedMagic has not revealed pricing yet, nor whether the gaming monitor will launch outside China.

Regardless, the RedMagic Gaming Monitor relies on a 27-inch panel supported by Mini LED backlights, an increasingly popular feature among modern gaming monitors. According to RedMagic, its gaming monitor utilises 1,152 dimming zones, which may explain why it offers DisplayHDR 1000 certification. For reference, DisplayHDR 1000 means that the RedMagic Gaming Monitor should peak at over 1,000 nits, as well as providing 10-bit image processing. Additionally, RedMagic states that the monitor has sub-1 Delta E deviations, a level below which the human eye can determine.

Moreover, the RedMagic Gaming Monitor is TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified, has ultra-high frequency PWM dimming and combines a 4K resolution with a 160 Hz refresh rate. Incidentally, RedMagic has included AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support to minimise image tearing. Initially, RedMagic will offer two versions of this specification, including one that supports 4K wireless screen mirroring. Alternatively, the company will sell a 2K edition, which also peaks at 240 Hz and 400 nits without mini LED backlights.
