Nitika is a design writer who graduated in Digital Management from Istituto Marangoni Milano. For her - design is a boundless medium of self-expression that encapsulates a balance between functionality and aesthetics.

Reflecting the needs of leisure users, Korea-based industrial designer Haechan Ryu innovatively crafts ‘Tulit’ – an alluring LED lantern with a design aesthetic perfect for interiors while providing brilliant outdoor performance. 

“Amid growing demand for outdoor products, there’s a desire for casual camping objects that many users can utilize both outdoors and at home. 

Tulit is fabricated to meet these needs and based on its beautiful design – it’s valuable as interior decoration and performs well in the outdoor environment, which is the essence of the product” says Haechan Ryu.

Skillfully featuring a minimalistically organic and durable structure with soothing hues – this fascinating one-of-a-kind object can be effortlessly used by hanging it on wires, rings as well as bag straps depending on the socket module provided. 

“It can be utilized at home using a socket module that is more suitable as an interior product and it can be used outdoors with a better supporting module” Ryu adds. 

Its degree of use varies depending on the nature of the light – the powerful light on its tip is a flashlight that can be useful in outdoor areas and the body can seamlessly create different light characteristics depending on whether the leaf is open or not.  “Additionally, it can further operate as a power bank with excellent battery capacity” says Ryu.
