PPDS showcased its 4K B-Line Business TVs alongside new X-Line video wall displays at InfoComm, and also announced its US subsidiary was now wholly owned by the TPV Group.

PPDS unveiled its enhanced range of Philips X-Line video wall displays at InfoComm 2022.

The range comprises six direct LED backlight models with bezels of between 0.9mm and 3.5mm. The 49″ and 55″ BDL2105X/00 feature a brightness of 500 cd/sqm, a finishing haze of 3% and PPDS’s Pure Colour Pro software, making them suitable for use in stores and shopping malls.

There are also three models designed for use within corporate environments such as meeting rooms, lobbies and public spaces. Offering a brightness of 700 cd/sqm, their pre-calibrated displays improve the viewing experience by making challenging content, such as the small fonts used on PowerPoint presentations, clearly legible.

The new 65″ BDL6005x/00, which has a 4k display (3840×2160) and can show content from multiple sources in real time, is designed for 24/7 operation as a futureproof display technology suitable for control rooms and video surveillance.

The global provider of Philips digital signage, interactive displays, direct-view LED and professional TV products and complementary solutions also showcased its latest 4K Philips B-Line Business TVs in Las Vegas.

One of PPDS’s most versatile and flexible display ranges, the 2214 models – available in new 43” and 55” sizes – feature entertainment, collaboration and content scheduling features. Built-in Android software and Chromecast provide versatile content sharing, enabling content of up to 4K to be created and wirelessly shared from any device. Crestron Connected, Extron and Neets IP control compatibility continue to enhance the display’s flexibility.

The Philips B-Line range is suitable for use in a range of environments, including the food and beverage sector, and corporate offices.

PPDS’s US business, meanwhile, became a wholly owned subsidiary of the world’s largest manufacturer of LCD displays, TPV Group, on 1 May.

The deal will allow PPDS to accelerate its growth plans in North America, where it is targeting a top-three market position. The expansion is being driven by Vince Schuster, who was appointed vice-president for professional displays last October.

PPDS US will benefit from the manufacturing resources enjoyed by PPDS in other markets, including priority access to core components and materials, and end-to-end supply chain systems enabling the full control and monitoring of logistics streams.

In addition, an  inaugural gathering of members of the PPDS Global Partner Alliance (GPA) affiliation programme took place at ISE 2022 in Barcelona in May.

The alliance connects multinational enterprises with PPDS’s international roster of elite system integrators, who will provide local market knowledge and proven expertise.

The invitation-only group comprises 60 companies from the retail, corporate, hospitality and education sectors, which support clients in more than 200 countries. GPA projects are managed – from tender to completion – by PPDS’s international key management team, which is headed up by international key account director Simone Gagliardi.
